These differences give shoppers practical points to consider when comparing travel trailers. Interior layout, sleeping capacity, storage, slide-outs, and the amount of time spent cooking indoors or outdoors can all affect how a trailer fits a planned trip.
Towing Capacity Remains an Important Consideration
Listed trailer weight is one factor buyers should review before choosing a model. The tow vehicle must be rated to handle the trailer and the combined load, including passengers, cargo, hitch weight, and other equipment.
The team provides interactive tow guides to help shoppers research towing capacity. Buyers should also consult the vehicle owner's manual and manufacturer specifications before selecting a trailer. Actual loaded weight may differ from the listed figure.
